1) TAKING THE BEST PHOTOS
Quality : Always take to the highest quality. Low quality photos will limit what size you can print them too.
Colour or black & white : Always take in colour, you can always print in black and white or add features after.
Frame the shot : don't chop the feet or head off.
Focus : Make sure you are focusing on the subject you are taking. Sometimes the camera will focus on something somewhere else in the photo and the subject will become blurred.
Detail : To set the scene it is good to take detail shots
2) HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE QUALITY
This will be dependant on the camera you have. Refer to your manual or simply
Select the button to take a photo
Press menu
Select Quality
Selct large
If this fails - take it to a shop and get them to sort.
3) BACKING UP YOUR PHOTOS
OPTION 1 - The easiest
Take your camera to the shops and get them to copy onto a disc. If possible get 2 copies - one to send to us!
OPTION 2
Step 1 - Connect your camera to the computer using the leads that come with the camera
Step 2 - Double click on 'my computer' folder
Step 3 - Double click on the folder that shows your camera details
Step 4 - Select Edit from the top bar and then select 'select all
Step 5 - Your options will come up on the left - either 'copy selected items to a folder' or 'copy to CD'
Step 6 - For 'Copy selected items ....' select a folder or make a new one. Double click on the folder and click on save.
Step 7 - For 'copy to CD' make sure you insert a CD and select write photos to CD.
If in doubt follow the computer prompts - they should make sense........ !
OPTION 3
If your computer reads other disc then insert the disc and follow steps 2 - 7 above.
4) MAKING A COPY OF YOUR DISC
Buy some CDs - usually 712mb size - non recordable
Using steps 2 - 7 above copy your photos
If you do not have enough space on your disc then de-select some photos.
